If you’re a fan of Pinterest, you can find a ton of awesome ideas featuring backyard decor, fun to lounge on as it is to look at. From Macramé to Timberlane Bench Swings, many varieties can be attached to a sturdy structure such as a pergola or terrace overhang. However, don’t get wrapped up in the logistics of hanging one of these unless you’re going to DIY.

We don’t suggest installing an outdoor swing yourself in the event the structure or hardware is not sturdy enough to hold a lot of weight. Our crew is highly experienced in safety and quality control. Including measuring for distance of hazardous areas.

Also, if you plan on adding a swing to your backyard be concsious of the clearance when installing near a fire pit or some type of furniture. No one, enjoys their swing while hanging out in the emergency room. I promise. The good news is; if measurements are done correctly you can avoid any injuries. More importantly, you can enjoy your backyard accessories for years to come.

In addition to measuring, be sure to select non-flamable material and to avoid placing pillows or cushions in front of open flames. We know it sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised.

We recommend installing your swings when hiring a construction crew or contractor during a pergola or new deck build to ensure all measurements are done correctly and the installation is appropriate for your decking.

Nonetheless, swings are a wonderful add-on to any deck or patio area where you and your family will be thrilled to have and use while spending time in your outdoor living spaces.

One last thing. We know this may surprise you, but ya gotta share with the kids.
